For my book reviews and whatnot, head over to my Shelfari. I love that site!
More of the 1000 movies; I have watched three more, two of which are new films.
#49 Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull
At first I was gripped; I love Indiana Jones films and this had all the right ingrediants. I could even get over cheesy plot elements and an OAP Indy... and then came the ending. I won't spoil it, but the sheer stupidity of it all ruined this film for me.
#50 A Bug's Life
Really, this film is almost too sweet. I love it!
#51 Speed Racer
One word: boring. No real storyline. A waste of time.
More movies! I am still not caught up. Awful Cole.
#37 Hot Fuzz
Hot Fuzz is brilliant; very, very funny.
#38 Zoolander
One of the funniest films I have ever seen; definately a favourite of mine.
#39 Indiana Jones and the Raiders of The Lost Arc
Brilliant movie! I love Indiana Jones. :)
#40 Spiderman 2
Ick. I hate these movies.
#41 Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Another excellent movie. These are a little cheesey but brilliant.
#42 Inspector Gadget
I love this film, it's so cute and funny.
#43 East is East
Quite gritty but in places funny and sweet.
#44 Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade
You guessed it- I love this movie!
#45 The Devil Wears Prada
I like this film; it's very interesting.
#46 What Happens in Vegas
Hilarious, although quite stupid.
#47 Good Morning Vietnam
Yawn.
#48 The Darjeeling Limited
This was amazing! Beautiful film.
Caught up now- phew! Next post, books I've read. :)
I'd like to update all of the movies I have watched before I watch anymore. By the way, the goal is at:

#29 Drillbit Taylor
Beautiful comedy with a warm heart. I love Owen Wilson.
#30 Rocky Horror Picture Show
Cult classic! I suppose it is pointless but it's fun and the songs are brilliant.
#31 21
This sucked.
#32 Diary Of The Dead
Totally lame! I laughed at this. It wasn't exactly scary.
#33 Zodiac
Very boring crime-y stuff.
#34 27 Dresses
I liked this; it was cute and funny.
#35 Coneheads
This is just plain weird. Funny though.
#36 Stardust
I love this film so much! It is fantastic.
Still more to add but I'll leave it here for now.
It's easy to see why this is a classic book; like all classics it is difficult to read, and hard to get into. But if you keep trying, it rewards you with one of the greatest books ever written.
His N Hers
I'm not sure if I liked this or not. I wouldn't rave about it.
#18 Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones
Another God-awful Star Wars movie. When this came out, I was gutted- would Star Wars ever be the same?
#19: Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of The Sith
This was fantastic! Mind-blowing.
#20 In Bruges
#21 Meet The Robinsons
I love this movie! It is hilarious and sweet.
#22 Sliding Doors
I had never seen this movie before but it was a very good romance movie with a clever twist. Beautiful.
#23 Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
This is a classic movie. So the effects suck, but the story is brilliantly epic. Plus Han Solo is immense.
#24 Short Circuit
I suppose it was cute, but I wasn't thrilled.
#25 Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
The best movie in the series!
#26 Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi
A happy ending; this is a great film.
#27 The Waterboy
Hilarious Adam Sandler comedy. Very funny.
#28 Happy Gilmore
A great film with a very original idea and fantastic humour.
I have a complete backlog of movies and books I need to blog about here.... I suppose I'll just get on with it!
#13 Alien
A completely amazing movie. This still scares me silly.
#14 The Spiderwick Chronicles
This was rubbish! I am glad I didn't waste any money to see this one.
#15 Airplane
This is hilarious; cheesy but brilliant.
#16 The Day After Tomorrow
I just don't like this movie; it bores me.
#17 Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Ugh! This film is awful.
More later!
... it's been a long time. BAD COLE!
Firstly, reviews of books and movies and whatnot. Because, somehow, that's what this blog has become mainly about. And it's important to me. There's a lot, because I haven't updated in a while.
#7 Wedding Crashers
Okay, I love this film, and it's not just because of Owen Wilson, who I rank as one of the funniest guys in film. A brilliant movie, very funny but touching.
#8 Be Kind Rewind
How amazingly funny did this look? Sadly it wasn't. Jack Black, you must redeem yourself.
#9 Bridget Jones' Diary
Okay, it's girly and a bit cheesy, but it's just brilliant.
#10 The Land Girls
My mother was watching this, so I joined; it was so boring. And there was this one man who had sex with just about everyone. Lame.
#11 Dogma
#12 Vantage Point
This had potential, and the ending was amazing... the beginning was very very boring though, and it was quite predictable to boot.
This is getting to be quite a long post, and it's nearly Cole bedtime, so I'll finish off tomorrow.
Yesterday I watched all of the Tenth Kingdom. I loved that show.
Going to London tomorrow. Ste's gone to get luggage tags so I'm alone packing my case; so far have packed three pairs of shoes and a Snoopy t-shirt, plus a pair of PJs.
Awesome.
Be back Thursday night.
Been away from laptop for a few days but over the weekend I read two books and watched a new movie. : )
#6 Cloverfield
I had huge expectations about this one. Sadly it didn't live up to them. I was bored and confused.
Books! It was nice to do so much reading over the weekend. The first book I read was
Pat Barker's The Ghost Road. It's not the sort of book I would usually go for, and at first I was horrified by the seemingly plotless sexuality. However I'd told my English teacher that I would read it so that I could give her a review (she's considering using it next year as part of the new A Level syllabus), and eventually I found a complex, well-written, brilliant novel.
I'd like to do it within a couple of years but I can't guarantee that that'll happen. I just really... read more
